So….it’s been a minute. I know. After 1.5 years of searching for a new gig, I finally found a new job! I can’t tell you how many resumes I submitted, how many interviews I went on, and how many hours I logged searching for new jobs. But anything worth having is worth working towards? Isn’t that how the saying goes? Transitioning into this job has been time consuming as I work towards getting adjusted to new surroundings, new people, etc. But enough about that. I took some new pictures and wanted to post them to share with everyone. Here is my twist out for work.

How often do you browse the internet and come across a website, an image, a story that provokes something inside you? It doesn’t happen to me as often as one might think. But when I see something that makes me stand up and take notice, I have to share it. While trolling other people’s blogs, I came across the Holstee Manifesto. This is a manifesto on life written by Holstee. Holstee is a sustainable design company that makes t-shirts, recycled wallets, bags, hats, organic cloth diapers, and other great products.

Please. Stand up and take notice. If only one line from this manifesto resonates with you, that’s fine. If the whole manifesto speaks to you, then share it. Re-post it.

So….this past Sunday, I decided to switch my hairstyle. My two-strand twist out is my staple style. Because I was tired, I just washed my hair, deep conditioned it, and brushed my hair using an ultra-firm brush with my homemade shea butter moisturizer into an afro puff. Here are some pictures.

As you can see, it’s almost time for a color touch-up. It’s only been two months since I had it colored.
